(Acne, Skin Problem)
Acne
treatment can:
- Prevent
scarring.
- Clear
the acne.
- Reduce
the size and number of acne.
- Prevent
new acne formation. Acne treatment has to be individualized and monitored.
- Prescribe
appropriate medicines for severe cases.
- Recommend
the use of oral contraceptives to regulate the production of hormones.
However, oral contraceptives are not effective in all acne cases.
- Treat
acne lesions by injecting medicines into them. The treatment also
decreases scarring.
All drugs
can be grouped together by how they work (i.e. their specific mode of
action). Always consult your healthcare provider if you have any questions
or concerns about the medication you have been prescribed.
